Noxie vies for Top Model of the World
Nokuthula Ingwe is Zambia's envoy at this year's Top Model of the world. Noxie as she is fondly known is a model who has flown the Zambian flag before. She represented Zambia very well at MNet Face of Africa 2008
Top Model of the world is arguably one of the most prestigious modelling competitions around. Started in 1993 in Miami, with offices in Panama, the competition operations are based in Germany where our Noxie will be strutting her stuff with 43 other models from around the world vying for the top model title.
The journey to Germany has been with its own challenges as sponsorship in Zambia when it comes to pageants and modelling is difficult to get. However, a few companies and individuals have come forth to assist Nokuthula on her journey to Germany. Universal Fitness – Gym provided the gym facilities for physical training so as to firm the body for a perfect model body.
Nada Fashions provided cocktail dresses, a bespoke ball gown and model grooming and makeup while Stella designs, a Zambian designer based in Durban, designed the final night grecian gown. To compliment the perfect model look Ayoub Brothers Fashion provided the model with pairs of high heeled shoes.
Nokuthula's flight to Germany has been made possible by XModels modelling agency under Mr Enock Kavindele Junior and Jacqueline L Nyaywa of IEmerge in Lusaka.
The tonned body has been achieved with the help of professional personal instructor Mr Damien Musuka.
I would like to extend sincere thanks to these companies and individuals for their generous sponsorship.
I will accompany Nokuthula in Dusseldorf and urge Zambians in Germany and in Europe to come out in numbers and support Nokuthula at Hohensyburg hotel and Casino on the 10th of march,2012 and tickets are only 50 Euros per head.
We wish Nokuthula all the best in her quest to be the Top model of the world.
Africa is being represented by Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Last year's second runner up was Vanessa Sibanda of Zimbabwe.
