A chicken is a well-known bird all over the world and is very delicious. A village chicken is not fed on special chicken feed like broiler starter and finisher. A village chicken wonders about during the day in search of food. It is not confined to the chicken run like broilers layers.

You will need:

1kg Chicken

2 big tomatoes

1 medium onion

2 dessert spoons cooking oil

Salt to taste 200mls water

Method

Put water in a big pot and bring to boil. While the water is boiling, slaughter the chicken by decapitating it. After that, place the chicken in the basin.

Pour hot water over the chicken turn it to make sure all parts of the chicken feathers are submerged and all the feathers are wet.

Start removing the feathers (dressing). After the chicken is dressed, cut into pieces.

Put the pieces into a pot and bring to a boil.

Turn after 20 minutes allow to boil.

Cover the pot and let the chicken boil.

When the chicken is cooked, add 2 dessert spoons of cooking oil and cook for 10 minutes.

Grate the onions and tomatoes. Add to the chicken and allow to cook.

Stir gently to allow the ingredients to mix thoroughly.

Add a pinch of salt to taste.

Do not add salt before the chicken is cooked because it hardens the meat.

Remove from heat and serve with vegetables (rape or any other vegetable) and Nshima.

Serving

No spices are needed because village chicken has natural flavor. This meal serves 6 people.

This meal is highly irresistible!!!!
