Tell us about yourself

               I’m currently the Chairman/C.E.O. of Crenton Zambia LTD, A company that deals in

  • Writing

  • Screenwriting

  • Editing

  • Researching

  • Business and media consultancy.

I'm also an International Writer.

 

How long have you been writing? 

               For 4 years.

 

What made you decide to become a writer?

               I have a passion for work. I discovered my talent when I was advised to stop my studies while at the university due to health complications.

 

 What sort of training have you undertaken towards becoming a better writer?

               No training at all.  I am just interested in writing.

How long did it take you to write this story (Ambassador's Daughter)?

                Two days.

Where do you get your ideas from for your writing?

               I write when am commissioned and I meet the deadlines.  I get inspiration from motivational books.

What else have you written?

                I have written a TV series, soaps, comedies, poems and feature films.

Do you ever get writers block? If so, how do you deal with it?

                No, not yet.

What do you think makes a good story?

               A good story should have the combination of values, faith, power, money, love, and justice.

How many books have you written which have been published?

               None, still looking for publishers.

What do you feel most comfortable writing about?

               Motivational topics.

 

What is your favourite piece of writing (or book) among the pieces you have done?

               This one, of course.

What books have influenced your life the most?

               Rage of an Angels, God Father, American Dream, Elle and Mills of GOLD.

What are your future plans regarding your writing?

               The sky is the limit-I want to change the way Africans think.

 

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

               I read a lot, playing chess, golf and going for adventure

What are the major problems writers face in Zambia, in your opinion?

               Lack of role models and sponsorship. 

 

What sort of infrastructure do you think will help upcoming writers?

               We need institutions where writing is taught

 

What essentials do writers require to write effectively?

               They should remain focused.

Have you got any suggestions for other writers?

               To release their talents
