What is the Kitwe Forum about?
I have had the opportunity to move around Africa over the last few years, and I love the adventure that each new country brings to me, however one of the great difficulties that I, and am sure everyone else finds is that it is not always easy to find out every day requirements about living in a new city/country. Upon moving to Botswana recently I found a very interesting website page called “Gaborone Grapevine and Find it in Gabs” and anybody could subscribe to this group and ask general questions. Eg: recommendations for doctors, schools, estate agents, hairdressers, electricians, etc… Social events, fund raising, craft markets etc are also posted on this website, and even people who had a service, product to sell.
Upon arriving in Kitwe I was surprised to find that I have really struggled to find a general website page that could assist me in this area, so I decided to create one. https://www.facebook.com/
I am hoping that many people, be it locals or ex-pats living in Kitwe will join this facebook page, so that we can help each other settle as the Kitwe community grows.
