Malaika Mushandu from Zimbabwe has made Africa proud by placing first runner up at Top Model of the world on saturday 10th March in Dortmund Germany. This is the highest position any African model has attempted to achieve. Vanessa Sibanda also from Zimbabwe was the first ever second runner up.
Models round the world gathered in Dusseldorf on the 1st march 2012 and toured some cities and shops among which was the Pierre Cardin Mobilia Store in Essen.
The magnificent opening in the Casino Hohensyburg, was choreographed by Patrick Urban and all 43 countries wore tight "Neopren"- Dresses of Cressi from Italy. The traditional Swimwear Show and Evening Gown Presentation followed and then the Jury had to select the Top 15 semi-finalists. Burlesque Star Vivi Valentine from France performed par excellence and Finalist of the successful RTL Show "Germany got Talent" – Ruddy Estevez performed 3 Songs. A special Highlight was also the performance of Keith Tynes, ex member of the legendary group "The Platters". Right after the Top 5 selection the subtitles were announced.
The 19th anniversary with contestants from 43 countries and regions will be shown on Show Türk, produced by EKIP.
The winner Luna Voce will be the Cover of the next NETCOO Magazin (www.netcoo.info)
