You have read the his first poem that we published from Kitwe Poetry Corner(In Unison). Boyd Kaimbi Chibale’s poem this week is WILL YOU BE THERE?
WILL YOU BE THERE?
By Boyd Kaimbi Chibale
…..as I seek to reconcile with those I may have hurt along the way….
Will you be there?
When the final trumpet shall sound;
When all our days shall come around;
When we shall all hit the ground;
When we shall pound all our tribulation;
When all sorrows, hate, detestation,
cruelty shall be bound?
Will you be there?
When all our tears shall dry
While we try and cry
When we shall fly
And say bye?
Will you be there?
Will you be there?
When we shall love
Like a dove?
Will you be there,
Where love shall be
And sting like a bee,
Not for a fee?
Will you be there?
When all hate, extreme dislike will
Meet its fate?
Will you be there,
When we shall sing songs
Denouncing all wrong?
Making ourselves strong!
Will you be there,
When reconciliation shall triumph?
Will you be there,
When my bleeding heart
Shall be pleading for room in your heart?
Will you be there?
Will you be there,
When my turn to love and
Laugh with you shall come?
When we shall dance and glance
At tomorrow together
When we shall speak and sneak
Into tomorrow together
Will you be there for me,
my heart, my life?
Will you be there???????
