Fried fish in Masala sauce - (KitweOnline)
FRIED FISH IN MASALA SAUCE
 
This is a simple and appetizing dish.
Ingredients:
1 big fish (Bream)
1 bib tomato
1 medium onion
Salt to taste
½ teaspoon masala
½ teaspoon red chili powder
2 tablespoons bread flour
2 tablespoons cooking oil
White pepper
Garlic paste
METHOD
Clean the fish
Remove the gills
Cut slits on both sides of the fish
Apply oil sauce and lemon juice over the fish. Add white pepper and garlic. Rub the ingredients all over the fish and well inside the slits.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Put 500mls of cooking oil on to a a frying pan.
Heat the oil on low heat.
Place the marinated fish in the pan.
Remove when golden brown.
Instead of frying, you can use an oven if you prefer. Place the marinated fish in the baking tin or oven proof bowl. Put the oven heat at the temperature of 350 degrees F.  Remove when golden brown and place on a dinner plate.
SOUP
Grate onions and tomatoes
Fry until ready.
Get 1 teacup of water. Add red chili powder, garam masala and 2 tablespoons bread flour.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
Add to the onions and tomatoes.
Allow to cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
When the gravy is ready pour it over the fish.
Serve hot with baked potatoes or nshima.
